THE MATRYOSHKA EFFECT

The first thought I had when I woke up this morning was what to write about. I have to admit, I was stumped. I thought about what has been going on in my head as of recent. Sure there are things at work that are troubling me. There are interpersonal relationship questions that I have about the people around me. I am reading a new book that I would like to talk about. I thought about the voids in the website- which categories have not been focused on recently. I thought about some of the music that I have been listening to and what kinds of insights a profound song or artist might be worth sharing. In the end it all culminated into too many questions with too many avenues to choose. I will admit, I do often think that writing about the process of writing may be cheap. So be it. Anything within the creative world takes time and effort. It is working a muscle. When you go to the gym, there are often times you don't work your body the way you would like. You go through the motions of the workout and don't get fully what you wanted to from the session. Writing offers the same. While it cannot be stressed enough, the important aspect of creation is showing up. One needs to show up even when you feel the ever so present resisting feeling.

Slaughter the resistance.
